My Location
Staffordshire
I have included some pictures of the rear of my house, it faces 143 SE.
Would it be possible to put it where that aerial is as it is not used and not even connected.

The house to the right of the pics is a little higher, less that 1m. Biggest problem i see putting it where the minidish is that the tree's to the right of its location will obscure the view at around 1W.

Always hard to say without a site survey.

Assuming you have line of sight, what about here as outlined in the attached image.

That house is next doors to mine, the sky dish shown there is also next doors. There are some trees straight infront of that sky dish they have, the trees are quite high up aswell. Would the dish be ok at the top of the roof?

Satelliteman, how far north do you go? I am in Burton-Upon-Trent.

Well, you've not made it clear in your post or images.

Should still be able to mount a TK fixing on the rear of the property or the top side, if I've understood your post correctly.

Too far North I'm afraid to cover :)

what size t&k mount would be best if i have about 3-4 inches of overhang from the roof?

12 inch TK brackets should do it.

i will get some ordered, is ebay the best place for them? I also need some cable aswell, i am having a receiver in my bedroom and one in the living room, so would twin cable be best?

It's just a shame none of our supporting advertisers list T&K's as a stock item. If they do, I'm sure they will correct me. An aerial contractor should be able to supply you the brackets as with the cable :)

I will give a couple a ring tomorrow morning, hoping to be doing it this weekend weather permitting. I am going to put it in the same sort of location you mentioned but on the other side of the house. The line of sight should be ok to the left anyway as it does not need to turn much that way anyway as straight ahead is where the sky dish points, so i take that as about 28E? What sats will my pentra 85cm be able to pick up to the east if it has line of sight as i can always move it a tiny bit to get better line of sight that way

I'd also check with your neighbours as it looks as if the dish will be overlooked.

Line of sight permitting, you should get round to 53°e and have no problems receiving the usual Eastern satellites.

Take a look at flysat _http://www.flysat.com/satlist.php

The place I will be putting it will be on the other side between the taller house and mine. It will be completly
on my side.

I have put the brackets up today and noticed that the pole i am using it not straight, it has a bend to it at the top. So i am going to have to get another pole :(

See if you can get a bit of scaffolding, a local scaffolder will sell you a length.:)

As a matter of interest, Souther Satellite one of our forum advertisers was saying that he was going to stock T&K mounts.
