hi please help i only want to watch tottenham football matches,i have an old technomate tm 5500 ci reciever and sky box (no package),i have a 80 cm dish pointing at nilesat and a 1.2 m dish for sky,my idea was to just get an art card but that is obviously not a option anymore

i have just brought a digitalb card £150 buit im thinking of selling it as ive just found out i need a 1.2m dish £120 for this and a new reciever as mine is old tm5500 and is not worth chancing a cam,so was thinking of getting a technomate tm 5400 £99

thats £370 and now dont think they will have many spurs games showing otherwise that would be great) ,i live in canary islands so these are the prices converted into £s

i cant afford a showtime card,
has anyone got any suggestions on what to do
eg.maybe fit a mono block to sky dish to pick up hotbird or another sat,buy a new reciever and patch it?

thanks

Hi Roberto,
Nice problem you have here.
Why do you need another 1.2m dish for DigitALB?
Can you use the 1.2m that you already have to watch DigtALB (either use a motor or point to the correct satellite position 16E?
After all, you don't have a sky package.
As for the receiver, Dreambox (model 500 is the cheapest) might have better flexibility than any other receiver.
Must check first if DigitALB smartcard (Conax) would work in it's smartcard slot and CCcam 2.0.4 emulator.
It is always a good idea to point to Hot Bird 13E (should be easy with the motor)
Hope that this helps.

agree with HB13DISH

Dreambox 500 and either dual LNB pointing at 13e and 16e or motorise your dish.

dreambox about £85 and a motor £45

im sure you dont need a cam with DigitalALB on a dreambox either... just shove the card straight in ;)

and then in your spare time inbetween watching the footy, you can tinker about with all the dreambox settings etc etc... keep you busy for years :)

with the Dreambox 500 you can record straight to your PC too, so it acts as a PVR... always worth a mention ;)
