My Satellite Setup
panasonic txp42g20b freesat tv connected to sky dish with skyware quad lnb, networked to netgear n routervia wifi also 2 pace sky boxes connected to dish

i'm new to using freesat having just got a panasonic freesat tv, i have connected it to my sky dish which is still in use in other rooms in the house and recieving a good picture, but my freesat picture breaks up, the signal strength and quality are nearly at max but the bit error rate is constantly running at around 6.0 E04 goes as low as 1.5 and as high as about 9 i've tried repositioning the dish and though i got the strengh and quality a little higher i cant seem to stabalise the bit rate error, i had a look at the same set in a panasonic store and their signal strength and quality readings were lower than mine but their bit error rates were zero! and the picture was stable, does any one have an idea what is wrong with my set up? could my lnb be faulty? any advice would be gratefully recieved:)
 
1st I would try and use a differant output from the LNB see if that solves the issue. If not check the cable and connections. If that dosen't help and a reciever plugged in on the same cable you are using for your TV is fine, it might suggest a tuner fault with the TV.
 
thanks for your reply rick, i have changed the output that didnt help and it is new cable and connectors, i will have to try to borrow another reciever and see if that works, thanks once again
