Hi all, Uploaded the sky bouquet from B16MCC - (wow, alot of work gone into that - thanks) but I have some channels missing. Have I done something wrong? Some of the missing ones are channel 4hd, sky news hd then some of the sd channels also.

I looked at some frequency guides online and checked them in dreamboxedit and found some of the 'faulty' channels to have different frequencies etc - but if I try to edit something it says it will affect everything on the same transponder, and I cop out! - but a couple of the channels on the same transponder don't seem to be a problem!

Why are some there but others not? Not a real problem but curious to see if I can sort it.

Cheers

Hi walter just do a full scan of your own..Then you can see if you able to receive said channels...Then you can just dob newly scanned channel into the appropriate bouquet!!
Good luck

I guess one of the more common problems is that is your satellites.xml does not have those transponder settings it may not work.
Try this: Open up your current settings from your box on the dreamboxedit. Compare the existing with the one compiled by B16MCC. Then update the satellites.xml from the tools. Then you can resend the files to your box.

Hi there. You don't mention which version you have used ? I've just released v2.8 dated 26th May which fixed Sly News HD and some others.

Hi - I used v2.7 april 26th. I get a little confused when I use dreamboxedit:confused:

There aren't many with faults. In dreamboxedit there's so much going on I don't really know what to look at!

As someone replied to my question saying manually scan, I did. Went through and found some more channels (ie Skynews HD) - then loaded the bouquet file and went to Tools>compare with dreambox files. There are alot of 'update' etc listed but don't know what to change without screwing it up completely.

Do I have to update satellites.xml manually from tools or is this all done during ftp. Should I 'send files to dreambox' or 'reload settings on dreambox'? or all...sorry for all the questions, but I don't know if doing one will counteract the other.

Many thanks for help.

Ok, firstly you're using an outdated bouquet set. Get v2.8 26th June and start again.
Updating your satellite.xml file is very rarely needed and will not solve this problem.
If you find a bouquet set has channels that aren't working is most likely because the provider changed its transponder details.
To fix this , do a manual sat scan and then FTP the files from your box to your PC into a new working folder.
Find the new instances of the problem channels and update the bouquets with the ones that work.

OK - New bouquet added.
Some channels alright now, but still some not there after a scan - If I go to the 'all' list they appear but no sound or picture. I have no FiveUSA, Fiver or any +'1s of these, no c4hd, FXhd says no sid in pat, no SkyMoviesFamilyhd and Modern greats sd still not working for me.

Sorry pressed enter by mistake...
I'd be happy to get the Fiver etc working as there's an alternative already there for the others. Could this be a dish alignment problem or still my settings? I know they are there on the sly box so maybe I'm in a weak signal area and the tuner is just better than the dreambox.

Thanks for all your help.
