If seems there are some inconsistences in performances with all these tbs cards in other words I guess a few duds have been sold ?

You are expecting miracles from a PCI cards, which is impossible. If a card has disappointed you that does not mean that all is the same.In fact,as with any product,we must take into account the ratio between price and quality. From our point of view,as simple consumers, tbs cards are the ones that are at our fingertips, and if we take into account the fact that they have the support of free applications(Crazyscan,EBS,IQmonitor, etc), they are currently the ones that correspond to this ratio.
Professional cards are very expensive and are targeted to precise functions. I do not know which of them know to do blindscan or other things that we are interested in as simple consumers. And if they know a few things to do,for that you have to pay for applications, which are not cheap either.
Without making a plea for a dvbs card or another, you have to decide what you want?If you are a simple consumer of TV programs then choosing a card is simple and very convenient for your pocket. And @Dave5118 suggested what to buy.And if you're a dxer or feedhunter, then I recommend you buy a professional card, like those used by most users on this forum or others, which most are from TBS.
