A while back, my mum threw out a lot of my stuff from our family home without asking me. Tapes, CDs, videos and even my beloved Acorn A3010.

Today we went to visit them for Boxing Day lunch and I found their garage to be rather more tidy than usual. Of course, my Channel Master and Fibo 120 dishes, along with all its ancillaries were nowhere to be found. Apparently my dad cleared it all out and took it to the skip! Like what the actual f.....

While I had no immediate plans for my Fibo 120, I certainly wouldn't see it being thrown away! As for Channel Master - I was planning on setting it up for 40e C band but alas that plan is no more.

So now I have no 1.2m dishes at all... If anyone has a nice one, please think of me.
 
Ouch, my sympathies.

Many (many!) years ago I left an old engine from one of my deceased MG Midgets at my parent's house. it was actually quite a rare engine (a 10CC engine, that's the 1098cc engine with 2" main bearings for anyone interested) and I had agreed to sell it on. I went back and found that my dad had given (GIVEN!) it to a scrap metal dealer who had been passing.

All my dad said was that I should have taken it earlier!

PS: better take another "good look" around your parents' house for anything else that might "go missing" in the future.

(and, unfortunately, you will now have to delete the Fibo from your Signature :oops:)
 
Marry Christmas Alex! You probably should visit your parents more often as we all do. Do not worry, those were only dishes, however good ones.
