Maybe not a name you're familiar with but he made many TV appearances in the likes of Open all Hours, Rock and Chips and was the warm up and off screen voice for many more. He was also the compare for Fairport's Cropredy Convention for many years
 
It wasn't until I looked him up and saw a photo that I recognised him. One of the background essential actors and support artists.

RIP Bobby.
 
RIP Bobby....like PaulR it wasn't a name I recognised and I had to search for a photo. Seem to recall him from either 'The Comedians' or 'Wheeltappers and Shunters'...

R.I.P. Bobby, I have to say I still do not recognise him but then I did not watch much TV in those days
