Bootloader for Amiko Spectrum Analyzer

Got a program / file from Amiko. a Bootloader.zip file. Now the program asks to open a Comport for connection. Tried all numbers / digits, but nothing. Who has the answer?!

Sounds like it is looking for a serial port which your computer may not have. Does the spectrum analyser have a serial connector?
 
If your computer doesn't have a serial port then you can get USB serial to 3.5mm cables. No idea if they'd work for you. My car diagnostic/coding cable is similar in that it connects to USB and provides a COM port for the software on the host PC to use.
 
Com -port !
no matter what I try ,or com -1 or- 2 or -3of-etc.it doesn't connect.(no connection with comport)

Are you using a serial to jack/3.5mm cable? Is the spectrum analyser connected to power?

Is the serial port listed in windows device manager? You may be able to choose which COM port is assigned to it from there.

It does ,and i have done it.

It's the speed data is sent over the serial connection, it may be configurable in device manager (I haven't used Windows seriously for a long time so I'm not sure). I have no idea about the boot loader as I have never used it, perhaps there's a setting alongside the COM port setting. Are you trying to update the firmware or revive a bricked spectrum analyser?
 
I have an Amiko Alien 2 receiver in use. On back of it is this plug 232.
"Software update support via USB, RS232 or internet"
RS-232C Transfer rate 115,2 Kbps / 9 pin D-sub Type

I downloaded the latest software from year 2015 via USB. Do not think newer is available.

I just downloaded the file to a usb-stick from the internet. I do not know what Amiko´s Bootloader is.
