At 4:05am yesterday morning I became a Granddad!!!

I have a Grandson, Jordan, 7lbs 13oz. a week and a half early, but both mother and child are doing well.

I'm only 47!! :eek:

Congratulation kleefarr. It is a good age to be a granddad at 47, as you need a lot of strength for the little ones and also possibly have the joy of getting invitation to their weddings.

It'll be nice for you to see your grand children grow up. Being a granddad means that you can always be nice to your grandson, while his parents have to do the "I'm doing it because I love you" disciplining ;)

Feels good m8, dont it. I have been a grandad since last June 15th. We were actually out celebrating my youngest lads 8th birthday when my daughter started having a few twinges. The Mrs took her to the hospital as a precaution and I stayed at the restaurant witn my other 3 kids and ordered starters. Got a picture message b4 the main course arrived of my new grandaughter. 46 mins after leaving the restaurant. So was a nice birthday prezzi for my little lad too. I was only 39!

Only one problem, my daughter and new grandson are over in the States. So not much baby sitting.
