Mostly thinking about Squarials and dreaming of the days of BSB...
My Location
Hampshire
I've recently got hold of a small supply of 'New Old Stock' BSB equipment, with a few examples of each of the items listed below.

So if you've ever fancied having a Squarial on your wall, or trying out 'HackTV' in D-MAC mode, now's your chance!

Pictures here

Everything is in excellent unused condition (except for the box exteriors which are dirty and battered). But I don't need to tell anyone here that BSB is no longer broadcasting so there are no signals for this to pick up - it's just for curiosity/collector/display/hobbyist value.

I'll power-up each receiver before sending to ensure that the menus are displayed as shown. Remotes, (35 year old) batteries, instructions included, still wrapped of course.

Prices:

Squarial£37 + £7.50 p&p
Tatung Squarial£37 + £7.50 p&p
Compact Dish£30 + £7.50 p&p
Receiver£25 + £7.50 p&p
Squarial + Receiver£49 + £8.50 p&p
Compact Dish + Receiver£39 + £8.50 p&p
Receiver in more battered box, that doesn't power up (but cosmetically fine)£10 + £7.50 p&p

PM if interested! UK only. Items can be picked up from the New Forest area.

Hi, only the Ferguson SRB1 :)

(the link to the pictures is to an http (unencrypted) site, so some devices may make you jump through hoops to view it)...

By the way, I don't think Direct Messages are enabled for me yet, am hoping they will be soon.

Can the bsb mini satellite dish take a normal lnb?

@Dougal2345

Ive upped your account level to normal membership - you should have access to PM's now (New members are restricted due to spammers abusing the system when they join up - its nothing personal)

Serial numbers of the SRB1 from boxes would be interesting, there is no requirement if they are unopened.

You can now post what you have with usual access to 'full' membership. Links to the unexa site are logged on the server so potential buyers don't wake up to a deleted image.

Oh I didn't realise the serial numbers would be significant... were there revisions to the boxes themselves during production, or something like that?

There are labels on the outsides of the boxes, which show (E&OE):

1114540,1113792,1113859,1087269,1115195,1114559,1114983,1114634,1123007,1204175,1203623,1114509,1115186,1203886,1091942,1113726,1114545,1114567,1203885,1113777,1115167,1114516,1087279 - and 1113766 (the one that doesn't power up).

Not without some fabrication
Like this for L band (Inmarsat)?

You can change polarisation on the Squarial by turning over the top sheet inside (I think it was the top one but twas a long time ago)

What is the make of the compact dish? My Channel Master is looking a little weathered so I could do with a new one!

Edit: Nevermind, I just seen it is a Ferguson.

Still using it for 1w? Didn't one of the original BSB satellites end up at 1W? So it's pointing at its natural home.

Indeed! I have one mini CM looking at 1W in Finland and the slightly larger CM looking at 1W in England

There were many items that went missing from the inventory when the contracts changed..

Decided to drop the prices on the Squarials:

Squarial£29+ £7.50 p&p
Tatung Squarial£29+ £7.50 p&p

:)

You don’t happen to have any Channel Master dishes do you? They’re the final things evading my collection!

Also, FWIW I’ve got two eBay listings for both a compact dish to 40mm universal LNB adapter and same for the channel master.

Compact dish:

Channel Master:

Sadly no, everything in my list is sold, save for one Squarial (listed for less than the price here, on eBay)...
