Hi all

When my Grundig Digibox gave up the ghost, i was convinced in to buying a 500-S. I have managed to set the unit up to receive the Astra sats for sky but am unable to get the encrypted channels that i pay for (using Gemini image). I have put my card in to the unit, but still nothing. Whilst surfing round the various sites i seem to recognise that somehow i have to embed my original digibox ID in to the dreambox for the encryption to be verified. Can anyone help me, if this is true can someone point me in the right direction to do it, if it is a load of rubbish then ideas would be gratefully received.

Many Thanks

you will have to go into the menu in sly box and when you can read the card number under this there is a ten digit number, copy this and then go into cam setting on your reciver and input the sly ten digit number on the SECOND line and you should get al encryted channels,at least once a week you have to insert your sly card into sly box to keep it open.hope this help you:-thumbup

Load the CCCam onto the box and set it as the default cam.

Then you dont need the box id and it will also update the card by passing the "stayalive" signals to it

First of all, you have got a good image on your 500s. SECONDLY, this is very important, you need to install a softcam(emu, emulator) onto the image, if you dont have a emu installed then no cards can be read.

In my humble oppinion, the ideal emu for reading an nds(sky) card is cccam. One you have this installed simply pop in your sky card and away you go, no configaration needed.

If your box is connected to the net, then I would imagine there would be an option in the image to download the emu of your choice, ie...addons or somthing like that. I dont use gemini, i use nab*losat image, but gemini is prob the most stable.

If your box is not connected to the net, then you will have to manually install using FTP software like dreamboxcontrolcenter (DCC) hope this helps
