My Satellite Setup
1 x skyhd digibox
1 bush freesat sd
1 Humax freesat HD
My Location
uk
I've just got out of the loft my first freesat box, a bush sd and installed it in the spare bedroom. On installation on the install page I get nothing for network or transport ID and zero signal. However on pressing the blue button for a frequency scan I get 144 channels. On accessing some channels such as bbc1 and 2 I get 100% for signal quality and strength but on some other channels I get a message saying "new service please wait" or a picture which stutters and the banner saying "no signal".The current software is 1.5.26.I've tried to upgrade this with 'manual' and 'auto update' without sucess.I tried the box on another outlet from the quad lnb with no difference and I've also tried a Sky digibox in place of it which works well. HELP

Sounds clear it's a box fault John if a digibox works okay on the outlet.

Yes,though it was working perfectly last time I used it although there were only about 50 channels transmitting at the time.Do you know if I have the latest software ie 1.5.26 ?

This sounds very like the issue that I am having - though mine started to happen a week ago. I used to have all of the channels - but then some of the ITV ones disappeared - and started to behave as described above. Today, the box (a Grundig SD) seems not to be working at all - the on/off light is 'flashing' (which it shouldn't be doing :-() and no signal is coming through. I am guessing that this receiver is ready to move to the recycle bin?

Yes, most probably the receiver.

There 's your problem. The Bush / Grundig receivers are cheaply built and notorious for problems. Take it up the tip and sling it in the electronics recycling bin.
