C band feeds

Another orbital location of interest would be circular Ses 6 at 40.5w. This is the largest of all c band sats on my arc of 11-127w. A quick blind scan with my x2 premium on free only produced:

tp: 85

tv: 124

radio:37

Thanks for rub salt in the wound Costa:lol: Thats the most wanted location for me and getting only one horseracing-channel from Argentina:-respekt

Only 3.1° here and I also have dish moving operation in the near future, just because of 40.5W. Hope in the end I will catch it..? Latin channels were my favourites years ago as a (radio) dx-listener and so is still with sat-tv:)

Not intentional my friend. Just decided to scan the Atlantic side with my 8' fortec to have a looksie. Ses 4 at 22w and Intelsat 1R at 50w are also quite interesting spots which yield many open channels for me.

I will have a very good line from 75W to 72.1E when the 1.8 is fitted, what I will be able to pick up is another matter, what sats are best on the E side please.

72.1E now only 1 KBC1, 68.5E quite many channels (mostly from India), 66E also lots of India (partly in english), 64E Mozambique (Por) and 3 Ok english lang. channels from Tanzania. Not getting other channels what listed on flysat., 62E only religious, 60E Few african but now only Channels from Nigeria 24/7, 57E few african Tchad, Ethiopia etc., 49E many russian and funny sport channel from Afghanistan (it relays footy etc and are they paying royalties, dont believe?). 38E Black here but VS and Nelson_b can tell you, 20E quite many arabic, 10E African channels and strange signals sometimes Ok, mostly not, 3.3E very strong Libya, 2.9E In Uk maybe strong exotic channels from another Congo.

Not anything very specially but something anyhow...

IRIB channels are 20E are strong. For exotica, head to Paksat @ 38E - will be interesting what you get on that satellite as I know VS and nelson_b only scan a couple of TPs on their dishes.

Edit: beaten to it!

Thanks again, where sports feeds turn up and a fair bit of dxing is involed that's all my 1.8 will be doing, I do hope I can find some new thing for us to look at and chase :),

Maybe we could put this thread in the C band section as it might encourage more peeps to post there findings and I will be busy here soon

I never thought of posting c band feeds here as I post on many other sites. I know that 11-61w is available to you folks across the pond so I just might start doing that.

Its not feed but anyway from C-band. First time Australia here by telly:68.5E Australia Network 3787V temporarily FTA:-applause

Australia Network (Australia Plus) 68.5E 3787V again FTA.
12.10 Australia 001.webp 12.10 Australia 004.webp

Finally got this Australia channel too.
Nice English language channel.

I just checking eastern birds after long time and noticed that 3787V (Australia Plus 68.5E) again scrambled. But it can find on 4064H 19850 fta, nice. This freq. also veery strong. Hope it will stay there! Still missing satellite New Zealand but some day, some day I shall catch them too :)

And sure also missing satellite-Vanuatu, Fidzi, Tonga, Kiribati, Saipan etc. But still I have hopely many years time to live and so I have time to wait them:lol: With radio these were catched already eighties so maybe before 2020 I´ll have many new sat-country more also:rolleyes:

Needed ...a contractor to flatten houses ...move mountains... raise my dish about 50 feet ...and cut a deep trench through the penines....
Mebe then I could see what all the fuss was about re-- aussie TV
;)

Or get a lift aboard the space station, ala Hadden in Contact.

Last time I saw Australian TV, this was on.

What a coincidence?!? About an hour ago 3787V stopped totally and 4064H only left. And now with $ sign. Still fta though.

Not so "interesting" programmes anymore on Aussie Tv than Channel Hopper saw:)
