Hi all.

I´d like to direct the dish in 5°west AB to watch some africans channels. what should the c-band´s size holder be? How to fix the dilekterium(stick inside the c-band)?Did someone experience about it? With my 80cm dish, i can only watch European programs on 5° west.
Txz.

Hello!
5 West Telecom Satelite ,is very strong in cband!
so your 1,20 cm dish would be okay!
inside the cband lnb,you see some notches, for the dialektrikum plate, there are to posible postions,on most lnbs, where you can insert it!
make sure, that is right closed,if it not cloesed 100% corectly, water comes in,and your lnb will be fault!

There are half a dozen Aftrican channels in Ku band on 7E which are an exceptionally easy catch in Europe as well

Most C Band LNBfs are designed for prime focus dishes and many have drain holes in the face cover which, on a prime focus dish would face down allowing any moisture to drain 'out'... used on an offset dish they face up so rain can get in... those holes need to be sealed or another cover material used over the whole face and the rim sealed properly.. all with material that won't effect the c band frequency.
