Hi All,
As you can see I have amongst other things a CM 120cm dish.
If I went for C Band which satellites would I get??
10 east
5 west
Any others?

Will I be able to fit the dish to receive Ku band still? Which is aligned spot on with a good LNB..
Or is it not worth bothering with?

I see the Tehcnomate receiver has capability for Ka band too...

Virtually any recever has Ka capability - you just set the lo figure appropriately for your lnb.

As for c-band - I had 3 tp off 20E a couple of years ago with a badly adjusted c-band lnb on a 1m dish.

I dabbled with a 1 meter "C" band setup and gave up after loosing half my hair and breaking a lot of things.

I would say a 2 meter dish would give you some satellites and channels to look at, you can also get a combo "C" and "Ku" band LNB for the dish that way you get both.

I recently scored a 3 meter "C" band dish and have the combo LNB on it, never been happier..

I can get 40e, 26e, 20e, 10e, 5e, 3e, 1w, 5w, 11w, 24w, 27.5w & 40.5w with my C-Band lnb about 7° off prime. On my gibertini 1.25.

Ka band I have the Direct TV lnb and bbc module also on the dish. I can pickup 42e, 31e, 9e, 30w, & 33.5w.

I use a Dr Hd D15 for my C-Band and Ka-Band, and a technomate TM5302 for my Ku-Band.

For c band I would not recommend a dish under 2.4m, been doing c band a very long time.

Unfortunately very few people have the room or tolerant neighbours here in the UK for that sized dish. Even if you do have the room & friendly neighbours the local planning officials often take a dim view.

And here if you put a dish up and planning say no - if you refuse to take it down they can come onto your property and then charge you for the job of them removing it!

If they do that around here they have to bring their own body bag, or have a relative supply the rations for them down in the mine shaft, I don't supply food to trespassers.

Hi Laser, if its just has a hobby and something to do you will get a fair few if you persevere and still keep the Ku, your first problem is fitting the lnb to that dish you will have to modify the arms for them to fit, I have done a mod that's available on here if your interested I could help you with it,

Chris does very well, but I know he puts the time and effort in, and that's what's needed, take a look here and you will see a few posts from Chris, I am sure he would post a picture up of his Lnb setup to show you what it looks like, are you could get the same dish as Chris and do the same thing :), good luck and don't be put off. your time and patience will reward you:)
