Why can't Sky release NDS Cams for private use so we aren't forced to use their boxes?

In all cable-tv headends they use NDS cams for the Sky channels they broadcast to all housholds, why can't it be the same for private subscribers?

Simply because Sky WANT to force you to use their boxes. They also know that once cams are released it gives the pirates something to start attacking

It's same thing with all providers in Europe these days, they are all forcing you to use their boxes.

Is there no other satellite TV provider somewhere in the world using NDS?

Would it then, in theory of course, be possible to aquire a CAM module from another provider and use that in 3rd party equipment?

Infact there is one on ebay now in Romania, item number: 170501693310

:D

No because there are numerous versions of NDS and nobody knows who uses what

Gah!

Allways a catch.
