I’m going to be run some new cabling over the next few weeks. There’s a few issues I could do with a few pointers on.

I’m looking to use some brown Webro WF100 cable. The cable runs will be about 20m each.

In one room I’m looking to insert 3 or 4 cables. What’s the best way to run these from inside to outside? Should I drill one big hole, and pass all four through it via a plastic pipe?

Also, can anybody recommend some good F connectors. I’m currently using some basic screw on ones from toolstation. Whilst they’ve been easy to put on, a couple have slipped over time. And more disappointingly, the nut on two of them did snap off - I’m not sure if this happened as I was tightening them and never noticed, or if it gradually wore down over time.

I like the crimp on F connectors Sky use, so I was thinking of getting these. Does anyone on here have experience with them?

Thanks

What I have done for multiple cables going through the outside wall, is to use some PVC pipe to pass through the wall with a cap on one end, the pipe should be big enough for the quantity of cables you nee to go through the wall, it should also be big enough to allow for some spacing between cables, you then drill the cap for the quantity of cables needed, (and maybe leave room for expansion, but dont drill for them) the holes for the cables should be the same size as the cable used, then put the cap on the pipe and pass the cables through, seal it up with a little outdoor rated caulking.

And those connectors should work out fine, but you will also need the compression tool to put them on, and I would also get the coax stripper, it has blades set to the right size and depth for the coax used.

The cablecon (webro) compression connectors are excellent, make sure you get the correct compression tool to fit them the coax stripper tool makes the fiting job easier.
you can also get cablecon self install connectors where you dont need the compression tool.
