Hi gandalfthegrey,
the T-Rex 4.6 is the latest model, which contains a secure chip, for future releases of non public keys from the Dragon team, which will only be available for this cam. You load this cam in the same manner as all other Dragon Cams, with a loader card or a Cas 3.
The only other new competitor is the Diablo Cam, of which there are 2 types:
Diablo light, just like any other cam.
Diablo wireless, 2, or more cams, with a base unit which can wirelessly communicate, and thus share cards.
These are programmed with Cas modules.
Neither is offering much at present, as most things are public, but this could change, as for which to buy, I'd advise waiting a couple of weeks.
Best wishes
Mickha

Cheers Mickha..
Whats on the horizon in a couple of weeks?

I forgot about the 4.6 currently opening Cabo.
Shortly we can expect key changes from Premiere and D+, and it will be interesting to see if these packages remain open on public platforms. Prevously both the Diablo and T-Rex 4.6 had premiere working when the keys weren't known publicly, but on the last occasion support from the Dragon Team was very slow, so it will be interesting to see what happens in future.
At the moment the Technomate 1000 series is opening as much, if not more, than either cam, especially as you can get TPS updates daily, something the Diablo cam is now also doing.
