Cam or EMU

Can anyone tell me what are the pros and cons of using either a cam ie Dragon Cam or just using the Software Cams (EMUs) within the Dreambox Images.

I know this could be a very stupid question to ask! but I am new to all this.

Please be gentle!!
 
IMO

The software CAMs that you can download to the DreamBox and the like save you from having to buy CAMs and are updated as new ones appear.

The Hardware CAMs are good if your receiver doesn't support software CAMs but has a CAM slot.

Both will have their own supporters
