i'm looking to get a cam, well will need one as i shall be getting digitalb card soon but i've only got one card slot in my tm 1500ci+ which has art sports card in it

so will need a cam but do i buy an official viaccess or conax cam so i can use which ever card in the slot and the other in the cam

or shall i get a diablo/t-rex supermodule cam instead if they work with official cards because of the obivous features of them ?

thanks

The t-rex cam is rumored to be getting a nice surprise soon. Not sure what.

but if you just want a viaccess cam, that is the cheaper option.

sourced from Steave at Waferworld.

whats the surprise ? doing nova instead of the gamma card ?

taking of viaccess cam, theres red ones and black version i take it both will work with art card ?

asking an ebay seller and he says that the red viaccess cam wont decrypt art is that true as i thought any viaccess cam would work ?

think i'll wait and see what happens with the t-rex supermodule cam as i forgot i would need a cas 3 to program it

Not sure what the surprise is. The black cam is Viaccess 1 and tps crypt only.
It can also be flashed to conax and I think crypto.

The red cam is viaccess 1 & 2. This cam can also be flashed to an aston v1.5 or an Irdeto 2 cam.

So you will require a red cam. Or get a black and flash it to conax.

Cant you use a fun 7 card to flash the t-rex cam?

Yes a red cam should work fine. Do you still have the elvis? As this is a great programmer. You will just need a dragon loader card to programme it. or a fun 7 card.;)

nope i got rid of it after ondigital closed down

what card programmers are recommended to program the cam then as if a card programmer is cheaper i might get a trex supermodule cam and one as the cas 3 plus is like 55 quid

all these work great

Elvis, serial and usb.
Cas 2 & 3.
Infinity Pheonix USB
Dynamite.
Vxmulti 2 pro.

You should pick up a cheap elvis on ebay, as these do most cards.
