Please could some explain a CAM to me. I have a technomate 1500 receiver embedded with conax and viaccess and was looking at buying a multicam. Does this mean that i will get more channels because i have irdeto, seca etc or does it mean i have to buy the smart cards as well to receive these channels. any help would be extremely appriciated.

Some of the new generation cams can decrypt pay channels withoutcards (dragon Trex etc) by loading modified firmware onto them.

BUT theres not much open at the moment...
