Can DM800 support a usb powered hard drive?

Would like to know if my dreambox 800 can support a usb powered hard drive or will i need an external powered drive as a silver surfer and a newby to this thanks for any help given

I use an external USB HDD on mine fine, no external power supply needed.

As long as it's a 2.5" laptop drive in the external it should be fine. 3.5" however will need another power source.
