My Satellite Setup
Astra 1 - hotbird system with 80 cm dish and monobloc
My Location
County Down
When operating a monobloc to obtain access astra 1 - hotbird satellites can the easterly lnb be placed in the collar and orientated to pick up astra 1 with outlet A or as you allude to in the messages posted must the westerly lnb be placed in the collar and orientated to pick up hotbird with outlet A?

On most Monobloc LNBs, the 13 East is meant to be the one in the clamp (the eastern sat feedhorn is slightly closer to the dish) , some have a central mount however. It obviously always has to be the Westerly LNB which receives Hotbird, but I believe that there is a monobloc on which the A port is for the more Easterly satellite.

Thanks Rolf - you provide a very good service. How come you know so much about satellite systems? Been in it for years?

LOL, not as long as some on here, but I'm a quick learner and it is an interest of mine. :D
