Hi,
I am new to this forum an live in Kuwait.
I have a Sony Bravia 46" LCD TV. Is there any way I can get HDTV satellite reception in Kuwait (paid or free to air)? Alternately can I get HDTV through my DSL line (512kbps)?

I travel frequently to the US and the UK. I can buy necessary hardware from there if I can get HDTV satellite signals in Kuwait.

Any help highly appreciated.

Regards,

Absolutely no chance of using an ADSL connection that slow for realistic TV of any sort, let alone HD.

I thought I was the only person left on 512K !!!

If you can download the full HD program in advance you can output the HD program from your PC DVI video Card into your HDMI TV. Keep in mind that the downloads will be slow as you are talking about a lot of information.
Also if you are trying to download through a proxy server you can expect a slower download or possible bandwidth restrictions as well.
If you download the full program it works great, if you want to stream it you'll need at least a 2.5/MB for SD and 8/MB for HD depending on if it's 720p/1080i/1080p. Good luck, this looks like the future
