Can I take my card abroad?

I've got a full Sky+ subscription here in the UK. The flat I'm staying in in Spain over Christmas has a regular, basic sky subscription. If I take my viewing card over there, will I get access to my sports and movie packages? Will it do any harm just to try it?

You will only be able to watch the Sports package if you take your box as well, as the card needs to be paired to the box to watch premium channels.
