Can I use my Foxsat HD Plus to watch iplayer? (Spain)

Hi

I have connected my box to my modem via ethernet ports and can bring up bbc 'iplayer' can choose programmes to watch but then when I select to watch them it says 'the content does not seem to be working please try again later'. Is this to do with the ethernet port on the foxsat box or IP address or anything ?

Have you been to Channel 901 and pressed the Red Button?

Also, what Firmware version do you have?

You are not in the UK, so unless you can make it seem like you are, it won't work.

In the same way as BBC restricts much Satellite stuff to narrow Beam to reduce overspill, they also protect content via the Interweb thingy.

I believe there are ways around this, but you'll need to await someone who know the details.

You need a VPN Router. You wouldthen put a UK VPN Service DNS in the router and anything connected to it (including the Humax) would think its in the UK.

Yup - if the beeb think you are in Spain it'll never work as its geoblocked for none uk ip's. As makum says you need to set your system so you ar "in" the uk. ;)

Try to change router location on window side, so that it will catch signals better than before and your _http://www.vpnground.com/blog/uk-vpn/ . uk vpn service will be efficient.
