Can old DVDs be saved from rubbish bin?

Also, it's not an oxide of mercury but an oxide of iron - much less hazardous! Some rouge is even allowed to be used as a food additive.

Our local BlockBuster dvd store offers the service for a nominal fee, if it doesn't work you dont get charged.

Might be worth a try....unless there your 'private collection' ;-)

Iv'e used brasso on them.Don't polish in circles though move cloth in straight lines.It also cleans the plastic windows on my landy ragtop too.

A briliant use for them in spring/summer is as bird scarers.Tie two together shinyside out hang then over your plants.
