can we install an image on HDD ??

Hi there,
is it possible to install and use images on the HDD or do they need to be always flashed to be used??
I have set up my HDD with 2 system partition and I would like to test some of the images available without touching the one today installed on the flash memory.

BTW, although I choose 2 system partition , I only seem to be 1 of them (/mnt/hd/data), where is suppose to be mounted the 2nd one ?

I think you have to set the partition that it boots up on through the LCD bootloader menu. As to installing a second image on that partition, I haven't tried. Not much info around for doing that.
