Cannot find English channels.

Hi there,

We live in the hills ner Elche. My husband has installed an 80 cm dish and we have found hotbird but can not find all the English channels. Do you know what setting Hotbird is on from Alicante area. Thanks a lot.

For English channels you really need Astra 28.2, 15 degrees to the East of Hotbird and a couple of degrees lower. You will however not receive the BBC and ITV channels, as they require a much larger dish.

80cm will catch the South beam of Astra2; still plenty sub channels

You will need a minimum 1,35M dish to receive limited viewing. If you can, fit a 1,9M for 24/7 viewing. Cost you around 800 euro´s if you have your own sat box.
