Cannot flash dreambox

Hello all,

I have read some faqs and i tried to install PLi®-Jade-DM500 image to a new dreambox 500s by tranfering image to dreambox and manually update it from tv.

After a while i lost signal from tv and i wasnt able to access dreambox neither from tv neither from network :) I guess i flash it with wrong image.

Now i tried the only way left using dreamup and null modem cable but still i cannot access dreambox and cannot flash it. The dreambox can switch on but i cannot access it.

Is there any other way to reset or flash it?

You will probably have to use Dream Up and a null modem cable unless you have well and truly trashed it.

If its trashed you may have to jtag it.

You can get a null modem cable from ebay and you can download Dreamup from IHAD.

What image should i use for dm500s? Is there a problem that i use Pli dm500 to a clone dreambox?
 
Think Pli is OK...best image is 'Gemini 4.70 DM500 Maxvar CCcam 2.1.4 via 2.6 vali II franch By Borsalino 06.02.2010' but as above only flash with null modem cable...best luck
