Hi all

Newbie here so hello :-)

I recently bought a fs-4000v2 to replace an old sky dig box in bedroom.

Was easy to install. I got 300 plus channels.

However I can't get bbc1/2/3/4 or any channel 4s.. I get BBC news. Also all the itv channels are 'scrambled'

It using the standard sky HD dish

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi, welcome to the forum Ukpbz.

Could be that your receiver's channel database is out of date. There have been many frequency changes over the year on Astra2, and if your database is too old it could throw up some odd results.

Do a fresh scan on Astra 2/Eurobird 1.

Thanks Llew

I only bought it Saturday :-) Any idea how I update database on one of these?

Thanks again

If you can find a feature called Auto Scan, Blind Scan or Network Scan, just use that .............. it should find pretty much everything for you.

If not, you can manually Add/Edit/Delete the pre-stored Transponder details to correlate with an up to date listing such as this _http://www.flysat.com/28east.php

It may be new, but but when it was loaded withe its firmware the channels will most likely be out of date. You can check in your box's System Information the date of the firmware/software.

You must be looking at Tp 12.402V for that to happen. Might also be worth checking LNb settings.

Thanks again Llew

I am new to this so apologies....

So I went and selected Astra sat as indicated in the link you attached. Brought in all the BBC anf channel 4 channels but they all come up 'scrambled'

What am I doing wrong ;-)

Thanks

Think I have it

Thanks All

Well done .............. "proper" Satellite Receivers can be daunting at first but, as with anything else unfamiliar, one soon gets the hang of it.
