Cannot see Channel4 and Channel5

My Satellite Setup
AF 1500 need to see only channel 4 and channel 5
My Location

I've just moved home. I have an ARION AF 1500 I used to watch foreigner channels at my old home.

The building I am living now hasn't an aerial but only a plug for the satellite so I am useing the receiver for national TV. Unfortunately I cannot watch Channel 4 and Channel 5 they have black screen and a "$" symbol is present near these channels.

What it is wrong with my receiver?

Nothing wrong with the receiver Tony, they are encrypted, you really need a Sky digibox plus a Freesat or expired subscription card to watch them. You can pick up both for a relatively small amount of money.

So I require another box ... my wife will be walking on the ceiling with joy ... LOL

I have contacted who sold it to me, he said he needs to add codes/keys but he is not avalaible before Settember. Can I modify (?) add card (?) add something myself to it and keep it as the only receiver? I was reading the treads and it may be possible ... ?

Your seller is talking rubbish as far as C4 & C5 is concerned. You cannot get C4 & C5 without a card from Sky.
