just wanna say i appreciate your efforts,

this is what happens when i double click the test, it opens windows media player so i then right click open with vlc, but it does not give me the option to tick the "Always use selected program.."

Right click > Open With > Choose Program

at the bottom of the next "page" is a small tickbox with "Always use selected program"

Did it work when you opened with VLC?

Have a look at the attachments, these menus were in Win XP but vista is similar. If its not already in the list, click the browse button in the second screen shot to find VLC*.exe .

mate its not working since that time , i aint done anything to it, the vlc opens but no picture.

Explorer is not opening stream again from dm500 to pc, i aa trying firefox , when i click vpid this message come up, can you help again MHKU?

When you double click on the test .m3u file what application opens? If it's not VLC re-associate .m3u files as previously described.
