Guys,
Heres the story. Have a buddy who I programmed a DM500S for with Open PLi Image. The client CCCAM.cfg is as basic as it gets
SERVER LISTEN PORT : 12000
C: mydomain.dyndns.org 12000 user pass no
I have port forwarded port 12000 on his router to the internal IP of his dreambox. On the blue button CCCAM 2.1.4 is set as the default CAM. So to my knowledge that should be it. He should now be setup to communicate. I have ensured that dnydns is updated with the right IP number

On my end the config is virtually identical. I have a DM500S with Sly card. I've used the B16MCC config creator. I have entered the boxkey and can read the card to open channels on my dreambox. I have port forwarded 12000 to my internal dreambox IP. The CCCAM.cfg has
SERVER LISTEN PORT : 12000
F: user pass

Now if I go to mydreamboxip:16001 I get the following info

ok the problem is your f line .it should be like this
F: user pass 3 0 0 { 0:0:3 }

Did try f line F: user pass 2 0 0 { 0:0:2 } but this still didn't give any joy. May have mistyped it. I'm wondering what I should see other than a connected client to prove that the server is active and awaiting requests

If your sure that both setups are correct i would think your dyndns ip may need updated

yep it looks like a dns issue. Check you are forwarding to the correct IP. However for the time being, I would remove the DNS address and replace it with your WAN ip address to check a direct connection .

Thanks guys. I had thought of doing just that just to be sure. Will make changes to Fline and use WAN IP and let you know. Appreciate the help

My stupidity. Had fline flloking like this f: 12000 user pass 0 0 3 { 0:0:3 }. Had looked at it for ages and couldn't see anything wrong. Then this morning saw the 12000 in the line. Removed and hey presto, all works perfectly. Guys thanks a million for all the priceless info on this site.
