My Satellite Setup
Technomate 1000cl,1.1m dish
Diablo cam 2.05
My Location
uk,herts
Just need a little advice re showtime.I can get a good signal on 7w,with most transponders v and h,most of it between 60 and 70%.When i do a scan of the transponder,it finds some channels but doesn't pick up the showtime channels.Any reason for this.I am quite new to all this. Thanks in advance.

Your location? Nearest big town will do. The UK is a big place ;)

Your dish isnt big enough :D

A good 1.2m is needed in the Oxfordshire area. (Something like a Gilbertini) and that doesnt get all the H tp's, and needs good weather

You probably need a 1.5m dish in Herts

great, neighbours are gonna love me!already had next door asking me if i could spray my dish green!
Thanks for your advice.

Thanks for your advice.

Go for Digialb on 16E instead ;)

All pirate showtime solutions are down now. And latest indications are that showtime will only reliably be available with original card from now on.

Strange thing is,my mate lives maybe 10 miles away and got the same setup as i have and he gets showtime.

Why didnt you say that :D

Are you using the same lnb & receiver (lnb's vary in performance and receiver sensitivity varies as well.)

You may need to tweak the alignment of your dish very slightly.

Try adusting the twist (skew) of the lnb as well.

Try your receiver on his dish & vice versa - that will tell you if its a receiver issue or a dish issue.

Most 7W reception advice in the UK is theoretical simply because of the dish size involved.

No - they will still scan up but you wont be able to watch unless you have a subs.

Just another thing thats a bit confusing, showtime is on 11996h27500.I scan this on a reception of 70-75%.I get a handful of channels but not the showtimes.Strange huh!

????

According to Flysat there are 13 scrambled channels on that tp, all belonging to Showtime

These include 3 sports channels

This is what I get on that TP.
13 Showtime channels as stated above.
