When I go to motor setup and choose that I want to move the dish east/west, it only moves a centimeter, and stops. Trying to move it back works, but not any further in one direction. Its now always pointing at Hotbird.
Changing to a channel on Astra 19E it says that the satellite is moving, though its standing still.
I've looked at the cables connecting to the dish from the Dreambox and from the unit on the dish, and they are in pretty bad shape. They have black tape around the top and one of the cables (the dreambox-dish cable) has a cut in the gum, exposing the metal inside.
I'm thinking of changing the cables. Would that solve my problems?
