Dear friends
I live in Denmark, and i’m pretty new in this satellite world, though I know the a little. I’m trying to set my dish(97*90cm) at Badr-4. I have adjusted the dish to 87 strength and 86 quality at transponder: 11727, through the is 84 strength and 0 quality, at some other transponders.
When I scan the channels I only get 35 channels. Neither of these 35 channels are some I want, I want the channels at Frequency 11,919( MBC Action, drama and so on) What am I doing wrong???
HELP ME!! J:-)

The MBC channels have their own beam which basically covers the Mediterranean & southern Europe.

You probably need a much bigger dish to get them.

11727 isn't on badr4, its on badr6 which is a lot harder to receive than badr4, so I doubt whether you even aligned to the correct orbital position. What channels did you get?

Try 11938V, see if you get the correct channels on that, that is BSS beam, I get the same of that as I do from MBC beam, though the footprints say BSS should be stronger, and you're just in the Footprint for that.

Because you were not on 26E, and no, MBC is not on 11938V on Badr4, check lyngsat. 11938V is possibly a slightly stronger transponder for you. One way of trying to get weak TPs, is to go for a strong transponder and then optimise to get the weaker ones.

The 1st lot of channels you list are on 4.8E as AS says, but on 11766H not 11727H. Have you got your LO freqs correct for a universal LNB in your receiver setup menu?
.
Confused by the other set of channels you get though, they look like 19E to me but the frequency 11938V doesn't tie up?
I take it you've moved the dish now?

Thanks for the answer,
I think that the problem is that I don't know exactly how to aim my dish correctly. What shall I do?

Learn...LOL

Start off with a satellite that you know can be very easily received. Practice on Thor for example.Choose a good easy TP, and get it the best you can.

You could then work your way round the arc, finding satellites as you go, thats how I learnt anyway.

Also know roughly where they all are, check dishpointer, and google "satellite arc".

Oh, and don't forget LNB skew, not as critical as alignment, but has to be roughly right to get a lock.
