Capital Radio, the UK’s leading commercial radio group, and BSkyB, the operator of the UK’s largest digital television platform, today announced the launch of a further two Capital stations on Sky Digital. London’s commercial radio station 95.8 Capital FM will go live on Sky Digital Monday 7th April. It will be preceded one week earlier with the launch of Century London on 31st March on Sky Digital, giving Sky customers access to this digital only station operating within the Century FM network. Both Capital Gold and Xfm already broadcast on Sky Digital. The new deal will mean that listeners to all of Capital’s wholly owned analogue brands can now access the radio via their TV in digital quality. Paul Davies, Operations Director commented: “This deal is a further step towards fulfilling Capital’s objective to develop our radio brands across new platforms, and to grow the number of commercially attractive listeners we deliver to our advertisers. Century FM will broadcast on EPG 924 and Capital FM will launch on EPG 925.
