Hello

I am a newbie in this area, but hope to learn something about cardsharing for personal use.
I have beem searching tutorials, but haven´t really found what i am looking for.

I have a subscription on a sattelite tv-pack, and want to be able to see my programs in both my home and my summerhouse, and if possible, i would like to see 2 different programs at home at the same time ( the mrs. sees her chickflick movie, and I like the sports).

What I found so far, is that I have to get another dish/reciever at home, if I want to see 2 different programs, and the summerhouse should have a dish/reciever also.

The dishes/recievers are ok, but I am tired of paying for 2 or 3 equal subscriptions.

I found some tutorial about a Linux server, and a reciever (dreambox), but I have some questions.

Is it legal to cardshare like I want? All the places where I want to see my subscription belong to me (summerhouse and home).
Is it possible? And how (if you help, please start from BEGINNING), eventually a short intro and a link to proper tutorial.

Regards
Jesper

First off card sharing is completely illegal.

Noone is going to give you detailed step by step info on how to set up a c/s system - it could get both the poster AND the forum into serious legal trouble.

All the information you require to get it running however can be found right here on the forum - settle down for a few hours reading as theres a lot of info to assimilate.

Hello

Thank you for the fast reply.
I will look at the tutorial section, to see if something comes up.

Best regards
Jesper

hello jasper,
card sharing is as illegal as using the service outside the uk.
and who is going to arrest you in denmark??
what is illegal in the uk is not in other countries.
if you find a way to do something for your use do it.
you cannot copy tapes, movies and music as well.
everyone is thought.

If its a Sky UK share it probably wont work much longer anyway as there are new anti c/s measures being bought into use in the near future.
