Hi whippet,
there are several ways to program your Dragon Cam using a Cas 3, depending if you have the dummy loader, a Fun Card 7 or a PIC F84A loader card.
Dummy loader.
connect one end of 20pin ribbon cable to cas3
and the other end to dummy card.
insert Dragon cam into pcmcia slot of cas3
and insert dummy card into dragon cam slot (contacts facing up)
insert usb cable, and start cis software.
click cam module, then other cams, then Dragoncam.
select cam version, either ( 2.x ) or ( 3.x - 4.x )
click file name [...] and navigate to required *.dra
a new window opens...(common interface host)
select Dragonload. then click the Enter Selected button
select "Yes, Load Module", then Enter Selected button.
dragoncam will now be loaded with selected file.
a progress monitor will be shown in dragoncam loader window.
wait for loader successful, then remove cam.
PIC F84A loader card
1. cas3 Soft -->
cas3 > select Smartcard from top menu.
2. click the button "PROG"
3. put the Dragonloader PIC (F84A) into the cardreader
4. choose the type "Single PIC (16F84A) "
5. click the button erase and wait until the card is completely erased
6. click the button on the right side "Repair Dragon Card Loader"
....and wait until the loader will be written to the card
8. now you can close this window and you are back in the main-menu again 9.click the button "DRAGON" --> a new window opens and the message "Dragon Card Loader detected / recognized"
10.click the folder-icon and navigate to the required *.dra-file
11.click the button "Write to Dragon Loader Card" and wait for "Dragon Card programmed."
Fun Card 7
1. start cas3 Software
cas3 > select Smartcard from top menu.
2. click the button "PROG"
3. put the Fun7 into the cardreader
4. choose the type "Prussian 5"
5. click the button erase and wait until the card is completely erased
6. click the button on the right side "Repair Dragon Card Loader"
....and wait until the loader will be written to the card
8. now you can close this window and you are back in the main-menu again 9.click the button "DRAGON" --> a new window opens and the message "Dragon Card Loader detected / recognized"
10.click the folder-icon and navigate to the required *.dra-file
11.click the button "Write to Dragon Loader Card" and wait for "Dragon Card programmed."
When loading your Cam, follow the basic rules or you can damage your Cam.
1. Tune your receiver to a FTA (Free TO Air) channel
2. Turn off your receiver
3. Insert your programmed loader card, chip face up.
4. Turn on your receiver.
5. Navigate to the Cam menu and choose load Cam.
5. After Cam has loaded, remove loader card
6. Turn off your receiver.
7. Turn on your receiver and the latest Predator should now be loaded in your Dragon Cam.
