I've been out of the sat scene for quite awhile now, but just getting back into it for ideally HDTV.
By the sounds of things i didn't join back up at the right time as most things have gone black, but theres always tomorrow.
Currently i have an original humax 5400, 1m dish on an old HH120 disecq motor. (it's not fully up yet - don't ask) but from my understanding the humax doesn't clear much atm, unless you use cardsharing, but trying to get cardsharing working on a humax is abit troublesome.
The same is true for the dreambox in that it also doesn't clear much without cardsharing but this is easier to setup.
To access channels you either need a diablo cam (receives the most channels atm) or a Trex super (which i believe can decrypt Premier but not the seca 2, like the diablo).
Am i right in my thinking above?
USALS has also come in since i was last in the scene, i've been reading up on it but nowhere could i find out if both sat receiver and motor have to be USALS compliant or whether it is just a program that sat on the receiver and moved an old HH120 disecq 1.2 motor. Anyone know?
I'd like to upgrade to the Dreambox 7025S but with the 8000 coming out soon maybe i should just get a diablo cam / cas 3 interface and setting with that for the time being.
Anyway i've rambled enough,
Whats your ideas?
