CCAM - two questions

Hi,

Just used CCam Config Creator, seems very slick and easy to use. I put the serial number of a friends box to generate the Boxkey (as he has a paid for card I can borrow for testing) followed all the instructions, updated the box etc.

My first question is does the box now work like a Sky box, i.e. if I put a FTV white card in should it work on the FTV channels or will only the card that is matched to the serial number that I input work?

Second, how do I update to the later CCam 2.1.4 (I have down loaded it), not sure how I write it to the box.

Further to my previous questions, I see that if Dreambox connected to internet you can go to "Download latest menu" (PLi Jade) and you will get a list of new updates. I wondered how it got those updates, are they provided by the writers of whatever image you are using? Does the box direct you to their server?

Is there a way I could download the files I want onto my pc and put them into the Dreambox, if so is there a guide?

My problem was I was trying to download direct into computer and then load from the computer to the dreambox (as no direct router/internet connection available). Obviously no one does it this way (though I believe it can be done this way). Used my friends router today, connected to internet and wow. So easy to update. all working now. Just need to work out the LAN setup.
