cccam 2.1.4 on gemini 4.4

Can anyone please help me, i have manually installed cccam 2.1.4 on my genuine dm800hd
and there is no way i can get it to work. I have read the forums with regard to blue button/addons but i don't have the cam-config option in my menu, can anyone help please or suggest away round this please, thank you...................
 
Cccam 2.2.1 is the most recent version and often there are two versions you can download. 1 the full version which includes the Cccam.cfg file or 2 the .bin version which does not and is used to update Cccam without altering your configuration. Cccam.cfg file is located in etc/ and if you are using a sky card it will not update your entitlements without you adding your boxkey. I have no experience of using Gemini because I use Pli and would recommend it.
 
Hi thanks for your reply, have have dowmloaded several pli images following your advise and none seem to work get verious errors like no tuner found, hardware issues etc, can you please point me in the direction of one that you think may work, thankyou......

and then Current release: Open PLi v1.0 Enigma2 and choose the one for the dm you are using.
 
Hi mate, tried image you suggested, boots then comes up with message "hardware can not be verified", anymore suggections please!!!, thank you..............

Sounds as if dreambox might not be original don't know mate or maybe it's not getting drivers properly installed.hi have a dm800 clone which took awhile sorting Cccam found out when restarting cam it was restarting wrong cam. Pressed right on remote and brought me to proper cam.
 
How was the box described when you bought it did it mention a sim card, if it did then it's a clone. There are patched images for clones that work.

nistleboy, how did you install the cam?, i have ftp it to dream box than installed it but i don't get the cam in the left/right choose cam bit, how do i get it to appear in their?, i don't have the blue button/ addons/ config-cam.... option!!!!

Press menu,then setup,then softcam/ci,then softcam setup, on select softcam press right button :)

Which DM box are you using, is it the 800 or 800se and which image have you got loaded?
 
its the dream 800hd pvr and when you boot up it says enigma 2 on the bottom left corner of tv with a background picture of that palm tree island in saudi arabia if that helps, plus its says the cam is, camd : mgcamd2 1.31/newcs2 1.65 or i can use
camd : mgcamd2 1.31 or
camd : common interface
no option for there for cccam 2.2.1!!!!!!!!!

it spose to be a genuine box, i also have a 800hd clone with cccam 2.1.4 and that works fine, but even with that one there is no softcam option after i press setup(but don't need it on that one as like i said its all working ok...........................
 
It's the latest clone sim 201 boot 76. I have openpli which is the best I have seen yet. Once I loaded image I downloaded Cccam 209 from the dm800 then I FTP cccamfg in and all sorted :)
 
That's strange I had option to download 2.21 and 2.09 Cccam I'll check after work and find out what image I'm using ok
 
I have a dm8000 and dm800(clone) both are using PLi images and both have Cccam 2.2.1 installed and working. If I'm correct Cccam 2.1.4 was installed using the plugin menu which downloaded and installed it from the server and it was automatically updated when doing a software update check. I also have installed Cccam info v1.3c. If I press the blue button and select PPanels I get Cccam PPanel select this and it gives me 8 Cccam options to choose from. Using the Menu, setup, softcam/CI I get select softcam or restart softcam. I'm not sure why you can't get the PLi image to work I suspect you have a clone and need a patched image to get it to work.
 
when you say its the latest clone sim 201 boot 76 does that mean its not a original then?, it doesn't give me the option to download the genuine check plugin when i connect to the gemini server!, is there any otherway of telling?, course if its not the supplier can have it back...........
 
i have also flashed loads of different nfi images to the box, some work some don't but none have given me the option in blue panel to install another cam, one image had cccam 2.1.4 pre loaded and when i ftp'd the ccconfig file over with my settings in for s*y the channels wouldn't open.....
 
Try installing the official cvs image from the dreammultimedia site if it won't work I think it's a clone.
 
I have looked on the dream-multimedia site and there is information about how to do an Authenticity test on their boxes.

this is the image i used sim 201-76a-Openpli-unstable-dm800-20100710.nfi

but i dont think your image is the problem.did you get a box with it and where did you get it from and price.once you had the 214 could u not go to softcam and press right as there will be 3 cams and pick 214 and reboot.
