CCcam & high ECM?

Hi all,

I'm a bit new to this CS lark and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the definition of 'high ECM requests' is. Reason being, I've added a few new peers and they appear to be hammering me for ECM i.e. through the CCcam web interface we have -

Peer 1 - been connected for 3 weeks = ECM 9331
Peer 2 - been connected for 72 hours = ECM 4079
Peer 3 - been connected for 48 hours = ECM 3264

Is this payserver type behaviour or perfectly normal?

That does not look to bad to me but I would ask how much reshare you have given your peers and are you using php info ?

I give everyone 2 0 0 {0:0:2}

Do you think I should change the reshare, or is that pretty standard?

EDIT - Sorry, I'm not using PHP info at the mo. Do you recommend I do? What are the benefits?

Those are not big numbers m8, yes use PHP info, it will show you current ecm and average ecm usage per hour.

If it was spaced correctly it would be fine but it is not
should be
2 0 0 { 0:0:2 } not 2 0 0 {0:0:2}

php info allows you to exactly what and when your clients are using and also a whole lot of other great info.;)

should be

Thanks for the heads up guys. I see all these posts saying things like 'watch out for high ECM requests' and yet no one seems to specify what a high amount of ECMs is, so thanks for putting my mind at rest.

And yes, phpinfo looks like a useful bit of kit, I shall get that set-up.

Brilliant! Just managed to install the cccamphpinfo and I agree, it's a great piece of kit.

abbas emmi, put cccamphpinfo help into a search engine and you should be able to find what you need to get it working.

I had one peer with suspicious behavior - every day he would have around 4000 ecm requests.
I tolerated him for a few weeks, then one day I saw that he had as many as 10000 ecm requests in 9 hours.
That took the biscuit and I erased him.
He was obviously a pay server.
So, when you get several thousand requests a day, your peer is suspicious.

If someone was continuously requesting ECMs from a Sky UK NDS card for a 24 hour period. There would be a total of around 8,000 requests during that time. (New ECMs around every 10-13 seconds from what I can tell).

Some people don't bother to switch to a FTA channel when they are not watching TV meaning that their receiver will keep trying to decrypt the broadcast. This is a waste of resources, but some people don't even think of this.
