It may well be as capable as a 7020 I dont disagree there but I think as for reliability, support, and build quality theres no contest with any of the DM models (thats only my opinion of course)

Granted theres not as much support, but it was well priced and well built unlike the DM7020. The other thing that always worked on the TM9100 was the CI slot. The ones on both my 7020 units has never worked properly when running anything other than the original Dream CVS image. Thats pretty piss poor if you ask me.

The DM7020 also has a plastic chassis, which doesn't disapate heat, and it runs a lot hotter than the TM9100. To be honest i don't actually think the build quality is as good as the TM boxes.

I've never has a TM9100 fail on me yet, which is more than what i can say about the DM boxes. My 7020s has already had the dreaded dried out capacitor that controls the 22Khz lnb tone replaced on it, and my 7020si is on its second PSU.

The only reason i use the DM7020 boxes is because the support is a lot better for them than the TM9100.

All the boxes that have come out of Dream have in my opinion have been well over priced for what they are, when you compare other boxes on the market which are just as capable.

I agree that DM boxes are over priced but I have never experienced any hardware problems with them (original or clones) as for TM failing yes I have been there I'm afraid

I had CCcam 213 working on EDG Nemesis 4.4 (on another box though) just download the extra url

1. rename the file 'extra url.txt' to 'extra.url'
2. ftp this to /etc
3. press blue button (nemesis panel)
4. press blue button (addons)
5. press 2 (download extra)

See how you get on first then maybe we can discuss about the 9100s can let you know over the weekend if your interested

I did do that, but does not seem to connect to the internet to download any addons etc.



I added in Ccam2.14 manually, by FTPing it into tmp and then manually installing it, but I still dont get the option to select Ccam on the 'blue button' menu. Think I am missing something but am on the verge of trying to flash with the Andromeda image which apparently has Ccam already in it!


I WAS going to flash it with ANDROMEDA, but cant find anywhere to dowload it from!! I was sure I saw it somewhere the other day!!!

SUCCESS!! Well partial success, flashed it with Andromeda V1.0 but could still not download addons etc., managed to FTP the Ccam.cfg in and it appears to be ccam 2.08 on the image, but it is working.

Would like to get it working properly but it will have to do for now!!, plan to see if I can add a hard drive tomorrow at some stage!!!

Have CCcam 209 working with EDG Nemesis 4.4 on SD card only, just realised that the 'extra.url' file should have put in vat etc and not into the etc folder, did this and changed attritubes to 755 I then had download extra in the Nemesis download panel number 2 from there I downloaded CCcam 209 from there

I also replaced the Nemesis.cfg file with one of mine own from CCcam 213 and again change attributes to 755, set up my share and it worked fine still cant find CCcam 213 but think I can live with 209 for now

i've had a 9100 for a while and thought i'd get it out and see what i could get going on the box and basically its doing my head in, i got edg nemesis 4.4 on the box but it just wont install any emu, i do have mgcamd 1.35 installed but not sure if it is installed correctly. also trying to get newcamd installed but its not having it either.

have you managed to get anything working on the box ?

nanochicken, when you had one what did you have installed on yours, also searching on the net it seems hard to find files for the 9100, i guess people just gave up on them lol

yeah i added the extra url to var/etc but all i kept getting was an config parse error, but pinging the web address came back with no response so the site must be not working anymore ?

i have mgcamd 1.35a and newcs installed as i downloaded the engima 1 version for the edg nemesis dreambox image and it manually installed fine so i shall try that out.

i just hope the tm 800 is much better than these are.

well further fiddling and I have got the extra url to work, ended up getting one off allsats but you can change the address of the extra url by going to nemesis download panel and 5 setting internet parameter.

the extra url incase anyone gets that config parse error, enter _http://extra.comyr.com. has loads of emu, cardserver, config files etc
