I've logged 2 channels on that transponder, now that the storm has passed over.
Only one with audio & video at present.
I seem to recall that CCTV 1&2 will be covering the games.

Yes Parky, I have Service 1000 and 2000 with blank screen.

According to Kingofsat, it's now been renamed CCTV News. Maybe a mis-transalation of the onscreen logo on their part, as there is no station ident on scanning apart from Service 2000(1).

My TM shows them up as
TV 1- 11881V EUROBIRD, blank screen, motor boat sound on audio.
TV 2- 11881V EUROBIRD, clear audio and video, I cannot read the chinese words, CCTV top left of screen and the 5 Olympic circles behingd one of the presenters.

Yes, strange view on Service 1000 (your TV1). Looks like they're taking a camera shot at an angle to a screen. No info on my pic, but there's what looks like an info bar with nothing on it near the bottom.

TV1 appears to have a coloured filter on the lens, blueish picture.
The best thing so far is the chinese totty, in white mini-dresses, white caps and white boots waving at me .
