does anyone know if there is anything changing with the nova transmission? something to do with mpeg4 encoding? also will the dm500 work if the transmission changes? thanks in advance:):)
 
do you know if they are changing thier transmissions?
 
They are probably adding more hd channels for the sport in which you will need a new receiver to view them.

There is no indication so far that nova is planning any change (switch to DVB-S2, or mpeg-4) in its transmissions regarding the SD channels in the near future. I also doubt there will be any change later, as long as there are still thousands subscribers with old DVB-S receivers (old Panasat's or other).

These are responses to recent legal developments whereby the activities of pubs and clubs using "foreign" subscriptions in the UK have had an unwelcome effect upon the private user.
 
Hope to god they don't change others also
 
They already have - almost all the English commentaries have been axed right round Europe.
 
Thats shocking, may start learning new languages or get live commentary on the radio
 
Yes, that's the stuff.

"JJB Sports Stadium" and "Spice Boy" sound much the same in any lingo - not forgetting that most Footballer Commentators in the UK can't speak English properly anyway.

Blame all this on the Licensed Trade, who have not only stopped many of us going to the Pub at all but have now adversely affected what we can do in our own homes.
