Changing channels knackers SNR (to knacker= to detrimentally affect)

I have a DM500-S clone with CCcam installed, but I don't know what image because I didn't install it.

If I change channels using the <up> <down> buttons on the remote, the SNR goes from 90%-ish to 60%-ish, and thus the signal disappears. If I then switch back to the channel I was watching before I changed it, that one has also gone down to 60%-ish.

The only way to solve this is to pull out the antenna cable and put it back in, that gives me about 10 seconds of channel surfing before the SNR drops. However, if I stay on one channel, I can watch it indefinitely.

I seem to remember seeing a post similar to this one before, but I couldn't find it, so I thought I'd post a new one.

Many thanks for any help you can offer. I promise to try and help people in the future when I'm more au fait with everything satellike.

Is your LNB old? it Could be the problem, when you change channells on a Satellite system it sometime changes from V to H when it does this the voltage to the LNB changes from 12v to 18v and they wear out after time. It could be getting weaker.

Thanks Clinton.

That's more likely because they tried it in the shop and it worked fine.

I'll try another LNB and let you know.
