I recently noticed on lyngsat (lyngsat.com/packages/skyuk) that an encrypted Channel 5 HD showed up on 11023H (Astra 2F UK beam). For now, my Sky+HD box receives this channel from its original tp on a EU beam (12266H), so i have no problems in reception.

I was just wondering if anyone has any info on this? Quite recently I read that Channel 5 yet again declared that their HD service is not joining the Freesat platform. The fact that it's encrypted on 11023 seems to support this.

I'm not sure if anyone had managed to decode the new stream on 11023H yet so it might be just an educated guess it is Channel 5HD. It doesn't decode for me.

If that really is Channel 5 HD, and it is on the UK beam, that would mean it's bound to go FTA then?

There is no real evidence its C5HD.

I havent seen any reports its actually C5 behind that label - lots of speculation but little solid proof. The encryption level on that label is set so no domestic cards will decode it..

thanks for the replies, guys. that sounds better. not being able to check that frequency myself, after seeing lyngsat, i assumed it was a sure sign of a move.

dont know what i'd do without emma willis on big brother ;-)
