My Satellite Setup
Ariva, Samsung and Comag PVR 2 100CL
3 dishes, 80cm, 100cm, 140cm
My Location
Murcia - Costa Blanca.
I can not at present get a signal at 10964 H 2200 but I can get a signal for Channel 5 HD (Kingofsat) at 12266 H 29500.
But when I did a search on that transponder although there was a goo signal, no sign of Ch 5 HD.
Why?
 
I think you meant 22000 for the 10964 H TP.

As for Five HD, any number of reasons:

What receiver are you using?

Is it S2 capable?

Is it capable of resolving a Symbol Rate of 29500?

Is it capable of, and set to, QPSK?

Do you have a receiver capable of supporting decryption of Videoguard?

Do you have a Card?
 
Out of interest, which one of your dishes are you using for 28E?

The most probable reason is that C5HD is encrypted and the Comag can't therefore view it.

I did indeed mean 22000.
I am using a Ferguson Ariva 120 Combo able to receive HD channels.
It is DVB S2 and 29500 capable.
I don´t know about QPSK. I don´t even know what it is. (Quadrature Phase Shift Keying?)
It does have a cam but I don´t have a card but surely I should be able to pull it down even if it were encrypted. But I didn´t think Channel 5 or any of the Five´s is encrypted.

Interesting you should ask me which dish I am using. I am using my 140 for general viewing in the house with the Ariva receiver. However I am able to view the Channel 5 cluster on the 1 m dish but only on my Satlink meter not on my Samsung DSR9500 receiver which is rather old.
I have a Quad Black Inverto on both these dishes.

Nice sunny warm day here today. So I am off out to play to try an tweek the LNB on the 140 dish to see if I can get Channel 5 without loosing all the others.

Five on that frequency (12266) is Encrypted ....................... needs BSkyB Card to resolve.
 
I have given up on the Channel 5 and company; but how odd is this..... no luck on the 140 m dish, but got all the Channel 5 cluster on my 1 m dish. Maybe I should swap LNBs even though they are both quad Black Invertos. Strange.
 
How do you know you've got the C5 cluster? Can you reolve a picture and sound?
 
I can view the Channels on my Satlink meter.
I have linked my FS1 to my Satlink. The FS1 gives me the reading and I can view the channels on the Satlink.
 
I have problems with the channel 5 (10965)cluster, heavy pixelation and breaking up most of day with snr 50-65%, however itv hd 11.023 is OK most of day with snr 20-35%. Channel 5 HD will would work with a sky card or something similar.

These were perfect before the migration to 2f but I suspect a bigger dish would fix this as I am happy with the skybox F3 and inverto black ultra. Before the change of lnb/receiver I had problems with BBC2 england/BBC3 + 4, ITV2 + 4 and the Channel 4 transponders, Now all 1N and some 2F channels 24/7 during most weather so a good investment. I have seen 5HD on my setup.

YOu may need to check you dish,, as the recent winds may have affected it.
C5 c4hd, 4seven etc are still fine on my 80cm dish...even now as i type
In fact the only difference in reception on the 80cm are
those that moved from 2Bs north beam to 1Ns Euro beam so better reception than before.
those that moved from 2Bs south beam to 2As north beam (so worse reception than before)
 
How delicate do you have to be with the adjustment. I can not get the Five´s here because if I try I loose all the others.
 
Delicate but saying that it is even on a illusion motor which can sometime go a "step" too far and need a "step" back - but apart from once late last year when a bit of wind did move it a bit too far which caused some reception issues, it does well. It even gets the 2a (and 2b gawd bless her) North beams til about 1-2pm...which aint bad...
But I think the critical thing on that sized dish has a lot to do with the LNB distance from the face of the dish - spent ages making sure it was at the best distance - lots of back a mm, forwards a mm, rotate a mm to maximize the signal...
It goes to show how the signal actually varies along the coast.
I can go about 35 kms south and about 55kms north and I can get a lock, but heavily pixelating on the same 80cm dish.
Which confirmed this 2f UK spot being strange and an ecellent "hotspot" in my area.
 
Anywhere south of Benidorm is impossible on an 80cm dish, and by La Manga a 1.2m is needed for the C5 transponder.
 
I need to get up to the dish again and see if I can get them back without loosing all the others. I need to be brave and see.

Noticed a couple of typos, 11023 should have been 11053. Channel 5 cluster pixelated but Channel 4 HD and 4seven fine all day. I am suspecting the improvement of some transponders over others may be due to a more linear frequency response of the F3 receiver.
I suspect my old digital 1200 was far from linear across the frequency spectrum causing impedance mismatch and therefore gain change on different transponders. Pretty sure dish has not moved as most of the 2f channels fine and improvement on 1N transponder 10803H and 10773H and 10714H/10729V now perfect all day since using the F3. Channel 5 can wait until 2E comes into place to see if a bigger dish is needed for anything else. Also the dish is quite protected.
